Brief Needs Check-In


As humans, we seek emotional nourishment just as physical nourishment, like food and rest.  For people of ENRICH, with the vicarious and intergenerational trauma as our constant companion and surviving assaults on our humanity and dignity, we sometimes misunderstand our needs.   We tend to avoid emotional needs because they feel too raw, too scary. And instead, to gain some semblance of control, substitute our emotional hunger with material things - shopping, sex, food, alcohol, etc. But at the end of it all, those unmet emotional needs are still ever-present. This exercise was designed to help you tune into your emotional needs in everyday life.
