Confront Myths About Emotions


Many people hold opinions about the “acceptability” of emotions. They may vary in the degree to which they feel that experiencing or expressing negative emotions is acceptable. Beliefs about the unacceptability of experiencing or expressing negative thoughts and emotions can contribute to the development and maintenance of mental health problems. This exercise aims to build awareness of unhelpful outdated beliefs about emotions and revise your views on emotions in a way that helps you to better cope with your emotions.
